Villeneuve-de-Duras is
in the Lot et Garonne, a few miles to the south of
The Dordogne and close to the Gironde Department, making
it an excellent base for exploring this beautiful area. The region has
literally thousands of chateaux to view and is dotted
with lovely medieval villages and bastide towns with
superb gastronomic markets most days. The region is
most famous for its Prunes, Foie gras and
of course, wine. With the growing regions of
Bergerac, Bordeaux, St Emillion, Monbazilliac, Pomeral
and Cote de Duras, you will never go thirsty with lots
of opportunity for tasting and buying. The closest vineyard
is 100yards away ‘Domaine du Grand Mayne’ so
you need not travel far for your first taste!

of golf at renowned
Chateau Vigiers, fishing at
one of the local lakes or you can just drive around
and enjoy the beautiful scenery and wonderful restaurants with
their ‘Plat de Jour’.
